The Diving Bell and the Butterfly

I watched The Diving Bell and the Butterfly in utter fascination. Lately I have been living in a hole when it comes to new movies. I caught this one at my friend's outdoor movie theater. It was quite unusual to settle into a movie after an outdoor dinner and festive acoustic entertainment. Directed by artist Julian Schnabel, it told the story of Elle editor Jean-Dominique Bauby who suffers a stroke and communicates through blinking of one eye. The cinematography is wonderful, and the storyline perspective which starts out like being confined within a diving bell, and as he writes his book, opens up like the metaphor of its namesake. Here's a link to The Diving Bell and the Butterfly movie trailer. Check it out.
